Previously you needed 3 threads a day to claim 20 credits and 5 posts a day to claim 15 credits.

I've reduced the amount of threads and posts required while also increasing the amount of credits you get.

You now need 1 thread to claim 50 credits 1 post to claim 25 credits.

Being an active member is enough to get username items for free that would cost real money on other forums.

This will likely get slightly nerfed as we grow, but for now I want to reward those who are helping me build an active community.

Vortex isn't abandoned, I'm here. I'm doing stuff in the background, stuff that doesn't need constant devlogs, I'd rather show it off once it's done. That being said, one of the planned things is a complete overhaul of the forum theme. And I mean complete, all of it. The current theme was made within a month, it mostly works, but it has a bunch of bugs. Creating a whole new theme also means that I will have to make it work with all of our plugins, I basically have to rebuild half the forum. Since I don't know how many issues I'll run into I won't give a release date for this, it's done when it's done.

What is a Middleman (MM) Service and how does it work?

A middleman is a person that secures a deal between two users.
Instead of paying a seller directly you will pay the money to the middleman who will hold the funds until the product/service was delivered.
Once both parties agree that the deal is completed the funds will be released to the seller.

Who is allowed to be a MM?

Transactions up to $100 are free, $100-999 transactions have a 5% fee and transactions above $1000 have a 3% fee.

Do you MM paypal, cashapp, venmo or similar?
No. We only hold crypto and Vortex Credits.

If the deal fails, do I get the MM fee back?
No, the buyer will receive the product/service price back, not more, not less.

If I send you $100 in Bitcoin and the price went down during the deal, will you send me $100 back?
You will receive the exact amount in Bitcoin (or whatever coin you used), no matter the fiat price.

After a successful deal, how long do you hold the funds?
If both parties confirmed the completion of the deal you will have 30 days to claim your payout, after this time I may refuse the payout. I am not your personal wallet and payouts should be claimed in a timely manner.

What if the seller tries to scam?
The seller's activity will be investigated, based on the severity they might be labeled with a "Deal With Caution" banner on their profile, banned from selling or banned permanently.

I would like to address and explain a few things to make it easier to understand how the site works, what the goals are and how it's legal.

The most common complaint is the design of VortexMarket, it looks like a "hacking forum" or "black market". This is true. VortexMarket's design was heavily inspired by actual hacking forums and is designed to appeal to a younger audience. We wanted the forum to look cool, not boring. Not to mention that dark themes are gaining popularity and light themes start to look outdated in todays minimalistic web design world.

So... is Vortex a hacking forum? Is it a black market? The short answer is no.
The long answer is probably really boring, so I'll split it into multiple points.

VortexMarket does NOT sell anything. VortexMarket offers Account Upgrades and a virtual currency that can be used to purchase cosmetics. ALL service and product listings are user-generated.
VortexMarket does NOT handle payments. There is no way to pay someone directly through Vortex, all deals between sellers and customers have to be done through private messages or third party applications such as Discord, Telegram or even Email. Sellers may also link to external websites where they sell their goods, such as Fiverr, Shopify or similar solutions.
VortexMarket does NOT allow the sale of illegal services or products. This is stated in our Terms of Service and is punishable by warnings and permanent bans. We don't care if your product or service breaks a websites ToS, such as cheating software or the sale of alt-accounts in video games. However, if those accounts were obtained through illegal means, such as hacking, we will remove the listing and might ban you for it.
